Surf Trips FAQ
Do I need a car?
No. We take care of all your transportation needs. Transportation to and from the airport, the surf breaks, day trips to the store, even if you would like a ride home from dinner, we have you covered.
What kind of restaurants are there?
Our trips are in close proximity to a variety of fresh local and international cuisine. You will not be disappointed.
How much are meals?
Depending on where you eat you can expect to pay anywhere between $5 - $15USD a plate. Some of our favorite taco stands, for our budget travelers in mind, you can eat for $2 - $3USD for 3 tacos.
Can you use USD?
Yes, but it is easy to convert USD or withdraw local currency from ATMís and youíll usually get a better rate. We have tried and true methods to ensure youíll get the most for your USD and will discuss details depending on the location.
Do I need a wetsuit?
Itís really a personal thing, most of the time the water is warm and comfortable (77-80F), so board shorts and bikinis with rash guard tops are adequate. If you tend to get cold in the water you may want a long sleeve rash guard or light weight wetsuit top.
Can I bring my own board?
If you have your own board/boards bring them. Depending on the trip we may be able to lower the price if you do so.
Should I be worried about getting sick?
Like any third-world country, water and food borne illnesses are possible. We will either provide bottled water or have filtration systems at our rentals. Most if not all of the restaurants use fresh clean water so even fresh vegetables are an option.
